We present 20 patients with diverticulitis, managed by laparoscopic surgery. 16 cases<br>had acute diverticulitis and 2 cases had perforated diverticulitis with local abscess of the<br>cecum, which were managed by diverticulectomy and incidental appendectomy. 1 case<br>had multiple diverticulitis of the asceding colon and cecum. 1 case had stricture of the<br>sigmoid colon due to diverticulitis, which were managed by laparoscopic assisted Rt.<br>hemicolectomy and laparoscopic sigmoid colectomy with intracorporeal anastomosis,<br>respectively. Mean hospital day was 6 days. No intraoperative and<br>postoperative<br>complication was noted.<br>We suggest laparoscopic surgery for the management of the colon diverticulitis may<br>be feasible and safe. And rapid return to the normal activity of the patients is also<br>expected.<br>
